New Music: Koda Kumi - Boom Boom Boys

Koda Kumi will be releasing a new album called  Japonesque (I know big shock). So it's no surprise, that one week prior to its release, like almost every year, one or two songs somehow end up in the Internet. This year it's "Boom Boom Boys" turn, one of her new songs. Bitch got lucky that the rest of her album is still under lock, four years ago things got really hardcore; I was able to listen almost two weeks earlier to Kingdom. I guess it's an alright song. I liked the singles from Japonesque that were released throughout 2011 better, but it's by no means a bad song. Maybe I'll have to give it a couple of listens, so that it grows on me. The song sounds very similar to "Freaky", with rock elements,strong guitar riffs and still a bit dancy. The catchiest part has to be the chorus and Kuu shooting "Boom Boom Boys!!".

As from what I could listen until now from the previews on her official site, it's starting to build up like most of her albums. Some dance songs, some rock songs, some cutesy-sugar-coated songs and a couple of ballads. So nothing new. Let's just hope the quality of the music is better this time around.
